Welcome

In an era too often marked by acts of incivility, Robert’s Fund aims to elevate the way we treat one another in the legal profession and to inspire acts of courtesy, kindness, and compassion among members of the profession. Increased civility demonstrably improves outcomes for legal professionals and the people that they serve. And because legal professionals profoundly influence society, even outside their formal work, their behavior often sets the tenor of corporate, political, and social interactions. In addition, Robert’s Fund can customize any level of CLE/CJE programs for organizations of legal professionals and CLE/CJE providers. Robert’s Fund consults with and makes presentations for law firms and organizations comprised of legal professionals. Robert’s Fund offers three levels of programs designed to address civility in the legal profession:

  • Fostering Civility in the Legal Profession provides a more in-depth overview of civility in the profession and is a 1-day program.
  • Promoting Civility in the Legal Profession provides a full range discussion of the issues; offers strategies to increase civility; and gives participants the opportunity to apply concepts to their lives; this program is 2 or more days long.

Fostering Civility in the Legal Profession

Robert’s Fund can customize any level of CLE/CJE Programs for organizations of legal professionals and CLE/CJEproviders. Our consultants will work with the organization to create a program and will provide the organization with the information it needs to obtain CLE/CJE approval. Robert’s Fund will be responsible for providing marketing materials, curriculum, program materials, and presentations. The organization will be responsible for securing a venue, refreshments and/or meals, distribution of marketing materials, on-site logistics, and applying for CLE/CJE accreditation. Robert’s Fund requests reimbursement for travel expenses for the presenters and the cost of materials for participants. In lieu of charging consulting fees or honoraria, we ask that the organization make a donation to Robert’s Fund to help fund scholarships to the Civility Promise: Promoting Civility in the Profession multi-day seminars. In addition, Robert’s Fund requests that the organization provide some need-based scholarships to the program.
